Governing Language
These terms are provided in English. English is the controlling language for all purposes. If you are unable to read these terms in English, you should seek assistance before creating an account.
Who operates this site
paddedroom.art is operated by the site operator. Questions and legal notices can be sent to compliance@paddedroom.art.
What this site is
paddedroom.art hosts original webcomic artwork created by an independent artist based in France. The server is located in the Netherlands and operated under Dutch and EU law.
Some content on this site is intended for adult audiences. This includes artwork of a sexual or mature artistic nature. Content is presented as original creative work, not as pornography produced for commercial exploitation.
Age requirement
You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account or to access any content designated for adult audiences. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If we have reason to believe an account belongs to a minor, we will close it without notice.
Free Tier accounts
Free Tier accounts are available to registered users at no charge. A Free Tier account lets you view content that the artist has designated as publicly accessible.
Paid subscription tiers are not currently available. When they are introduced, separate terms will apply to those tiers and will be presented to you before any payment is taken.
To register, you provide an email address and choose a display name. We use your email address to send you a login link when you sign in (no password is stored) and to notify you of changes to these terms. We do not sell your email address or share it with third parties for marketing.
Intellectual property
All artwork, illustrations, and written content published on paddedroom.art are the property of the artist and are protected by copyright under French law, Dutch law, and applicable EU and international treaties.
You may view content through the site interface. You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, sell, or create derivative works from any content on this site without the express written permission of the artist. Downloading or screenshotting content for private personal use does not grant any licence to distribute or publish that content.
No creative obligations
The artist has no obligation to publish content on any schedule, to produce any particular type of content, or to continue operating this site. A Free Tier account gives you access to content that is currently published and designated as publicly accessible; it does not create any contractual relationship between you and the artist regarding future content.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to access content you are not authorised to view by circumventing tier restrictions
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from this site
- Use automated tools to create accounts or access the site
- Harass the artist or other users
- Attempt to interfere with the operation of the site or its infrastructure
We may close your account without notice if you breach these conditions.
Content disclaimer
Content on this site is provided as-is. The operator and artist make no warranty that content will be available at any particular time, that the site will be free of errors, or that any content is suitable for any particular purpose. Access to content may be changed, restricted, or removed at any time.
Data and privacy
We collect and process limited personal data to operate the site. See our Privacy Policy for full details of what we collect, why, and your rights under the GDPR. To request deletion of your account and personal data, contact compliance@paddedroom.art.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the site after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections applicable in your country of residence under EU law.
